Never said it was though. What I meant was that old, fat, out of shape guys like me can curl just as well as the young and fit as long as we have the right "touch".

To answer the OP's question:
Here where i live (Sweden) i feel is kinda the opposite. The national channel (SVT, a public service channel) shows the olympics live through out the day (and night). For me, who dislikes winter and being currently in one of the snowiest, longest, and coldest winters in Sweden for 20 years, and having virtually no interest in winter sports, i get a little bit tired of the Olympics. SVT's regular shows and movies are cancelled alot in favor of olympics live coverage. But not only for the game itself, they show "experts" making analysis, afteranalysis, slowmotion inspection of footages, discussing "tragedies" of athletes hurt knees and cold infections and etc. I wish there was this much coverage and discussion during the Nobel Prizes. The newspapers main articles also revolve around the Olympics. Im a little tired of it, as you can see. SVT should have a temporary seperate channel for the olympics, and keep the regular programming on the original channels. Because SVT1 and 2 have basically become "Olympics channel". |
