They were barely moving if you watch the video... as a matter of fact they were sitting right there pinging the u-boat, and doing nothing about it while the torpedoes got all warmed up.. I don't have high hopes for un-modded DD AI based on that.

Its quite possible for the flags to fly in opposite directions... if the ships themselves are traveling in opposite directions. Its called apparent wind

Even a ship sailing straight downwind at 18 knots in a 6 knot breeze which way is the flag going to fly?
