if it´s just a question of appearing/disappearing, a 'VisibleUnderWater' controller would certainly do the trick. The problem would be to make the ice disappear when sailing into warm(er) waters.

Yes, you are right, but as I understand it, that UBoat model is to be enabled just when you are patrolling in the arctic during the winter/autumn

Looks great Tomi
I guess sh3cmndr could switch the sub model back and forth depending on patrol area or date. Or we can just do it manually.

Tomi_99,
STOP!!!!
I took a furlough from GWX3 for a week or so now... like, so I can get my RL projects done...
And, now I just check back into SubSim... and there you go doing some out right GNARLY ice (Eis!), work there.

It's awesome! Keep it going! Good hunting!

Tomi,

Excellent work! I can see it now...the start of a JSGME winter mod. Activate before patrol during the winter months in Northern regions...

Change rain textures into snow (if possible???). Altered ground and port building textures for snow. Maybe even altered ship textures for stock ships and the Supermods.

If the rain can be turned into snow, the rest is definately doable.

piri_reis has found an easy way to activate it - use SH3 Commander to either:
1. Activate it in winter months for all flotillas or
2. Activate it only in those flotillas where you patrol into Northern waters.

You could package it up with another mod that changes the patrol grids to Northern patrol grids so the ice will always be seen at the right time.

Beautiful work, Tomi.

Beautiful work, now those arctic patrols really will look the part

It should be easy enough to get sh3 commander to enable this mod when you sail as part of the 11th flotilla out of Bergen + whichever flotilla it is that sails from Trondheim later in the war.

A good idea that we have to worry about the what is the most interesting solution!
I think so at your fruit is disappearing little by little!

I am not happy .. in this game lacks Blend.effekts.
I think I must have a controller to use more of the snow brings to light, and the submarine is still too much to me Matt, since the sheet with water caused a mirroring / shining / Gloss-effekt .
I must still work out .. maybe you know a solution?

I would like this effect as the 3D-Max pictures!

Tommy,

DivingDuck found a way to make food dissapear as time passes ... could you use the opposite effect to have ice progresively appear once the Uboat is surfaced?? Would be .. amazing
