Please don't blame GWX, the mod has absolutely nothing to do with your problem. If over 1,000 SHIII gamers can play it, then the blame points directly at your procedures.

Remarks like the one quoted above from you will get you no help.

At the GXW website they have purposefully upload step by step loading procedures. You also might want to use
"MD5Mate" to compare your download source.

GWX worked very hard to provide/upload a professional Mega Mod to the SHIII community, there is a wealth of knowledge here, so please just ask and think before you write as this will cause less grief.

At the GWX website under the "Support Tab" there is step by step instructions for "Vista" Users .......like yourself.

If you are still having problems then ask again (without the sarcasm) we will get you up and running.

Good luck.

Kind Regards

Venatore.

Just so. Follow the instructions, use the MD5 to insure correct files and you should be good to go. If not, check back and we will get you up and running (or sailing, as the case may be).

I'm curious as to why people feel that they have to donate to get GWX3???

the donation period was for anyone who wanted to download it one week before official release.

this was a while back IIRC

Might want to look into disabling the donation button ..... especially that the GWX team has gone into liquidation due to the recession

GWX 3.0 is available at Subsim by donation for those that choose that route. Otherwise, you can follow the DL links from the GWX website for free of course.

Way back for the release of GWX 2.0, we allowed users to get an early copy of GWX 2.0 by donation (to Subsim and for Subsim) during its first week... prior to the general free release.

Just as we've always supported Subsim, hosting large/popular mods at Subsim costs Neal money that's gotta come from somewhere. In the same line, our final release is held at Subsim in a rather safe setting... unlike the vagaries of free hosting sites such as FileFront where it can be a real chore to keep links active.

That's why it is again available at Subsim by donation. (Though I don't know at the moment if it is also free at Subsim as well... I think it would be more appropriate if the large single-file .exe version was hosted here by donation only... as it is DAMNED difficult to keep that version of GWX 3.0 available in more than one medium/location... if that is the case. I've been working too much in RL to really be in touch with every detail concerning GWX matters of late.)

At any rate, as GWX seems to be the most widely-used U-boat mod... it is an honor to be in a position to help the community that its builders and contributors were drawn from.

All good things must eventually come to an end my friend.
