Hey Neal,

I have been using 7 RC for quite a few months. It runs great. No problems with drivers, no freezing at all, even though I have 40+ programs installed. It is almost as fast as XP. I will be upgrading to the full version soon. Go to newegg.com and you can get the "system builders version" for $109. Not an upgrade, the full version. You have to choose between the 32 bit or 64bit. I would suggest the 64bit especially if you have more then 3gigs of memory. Howver you can pay for the full retail version which includes both.

I have it and am just about to post a thread to pick brains on any problems that might arise when installing SH3 GWX, having given a decent interval for others to find the pitfalls....

Thanks, mate.

Well, Win7 on my new post-motorcycle crash laptop is proving to be pretty nice. No real testing, just first impressions.

I have absolutely no regrets moving from Windows XP Home to Windows 7 Home Premium. I love the way that MS decided to supply both 32bit and 64bit disks in the package. I actually pre-ordered my copy of Win7 on Amazon at the time and only paid £53.00 for a full retail version. Then it sat on the bookshelf shelf until early January this year when I started having some problems with my trusty XP. Hence this gave me the kick up the bum to install Windows 7. Only regret was that I should have done so earlier at the end of October 2009 when Windows 7 was released. XP is hsitory for me.

I got Win 7 64-bit about a month ago now with my beast of a new rig and am not looking back at all to Win XP.....
i thought i would but everything runs so smoothly, all my apps/utils i had on xp run seamlessly with no issues.
All games have installed and run as they should,
Win 7 rocks!
Good job Microsoft.
