I would rather stick some other dumb country with the expense of the olympics.
I believe that LA is still the only US city that was able to successfully (from a financial standpoint) host the olympics. I don't think the olympics is a money maker in the US any more. Viewership is down, at least in my circle. With all the cheating and scandals, it just is not as fun to watch as it used to be when I was a kid.
