Its true the Skull fragment may be wrong but there were too many witnesses that saw Hitler dead in that bunker as well as Russians who admitted that they had control over Hitler and Eva's as well as the Goebbels family body's post war until buried in an anonymous grave in an East German town.

He was too worried by the perspective of getting caught by the Allies, and being paraded on russian streets by his big "rival" and arch-enemy, Stalin.

He also knew he would be recognised where ever he turned to, and that he would need treatement for the physical weakness he already was suffering from - and this in a shattered country like Germany.

I am sure he made the active decision to not survive, and carried it out. Him having escaped the bunker I see as a prime example of conspiration theory.

I'm comfortable with the thought he died in the bunker.....but either way, as long as he's dead, what's the problem.

See http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/europe/8234018.stm

I think this is enough evidence for me.

I've also seen the interviews with hitlers secretary herself who was an eye witness to the events.

I dont believe she was lying.

History channel should change its name to "HyFy" because it shows less facts then then "Syfy"

The Berkut by Joseph Heywood is an interesting book, fictionalized of course, but within the realm of plausibility. But Hitler is most certainly dead by now, anyways. He poses no threat to the world.

This is certainly going to contribute for new urban legends.
Basically, I'd call this news unbelieveable crap.

Cheers

Ha! I was going to do a seperate thread on the "history channel", but I'll just do my complaining here. The quality of that channel has seriously dropped off. It's more of the "what-if" channel now or the "doom and distruction channel"

...and is it just me, but the military channel has turned into the Hitler channel? I swear, they have a show on every aspect of Hiter's life.

Next up on the Military channel, Hitler's gardeners. Hitler's diabolical plot to grow vegtables and make someone else do the work.

It would seem the military channel has taken over the all hitler all the time moniker from History Channel.
