Minor correction:
Nein means no..
NEUN means 9.. little bit of difference there.

Yes, correct and true, NEIN is NO and NEUN is NINE.
However, by writting it "nein", well phonetically it's very close, and I seem to remember that in some regions of Germany the diphtongs are on occasion not well pronounced, and thus it makes sence.
But otherwise, you're correct.

You are welcome.

But.. phonetically they are not that close, atleast in my opinion and in the "Middle High" German that is taught in the Schools. However, you are correct about the regional pronounciation and dialects. It sometimes seems to be a totaly different language.
