No, I think General Topics fits the bill nicely.
Creating a seperate subforum on the back of the last few weeks will only encourage that kind of posting.

People just have to have some self-restraint and see when the gig is up and that they are annoying the majority of the people who post here and have something interesting to post about.
Those that don't demonstrate self-restraint or are incapable of realising when they have stepped over the line will be warned and if they persist will be given an appropriate infraction. As Neal said he has a light touch policy but that doesn't mean it can be abused. |

SUBSIM is not supposed to be a free speech zone.
I mean, 1939, Munich, Big Brother and all that, but it's Neal's house we're in. Even if GT is more like playing marbles in the dust outside (granted, I barely post anywhere else).

Xabba is imo a very good moderator we have here, cutting things short where needed, but staying in the background where possible. We owe him thanks for doing a very good job.
Challenging moderator's policies in public and attacking them, can win persons some brig time and even a banning, since moderators do not run their personal agenda, but should enforce compliance with forum rules where these get violated or ignored, and thus their rules and forum rules are one and the same. forum rules are not open to debate - you either comply, or you leave, or you get kicked, period. I read in the fine print black on white that attacks on the moderators is a no-no. If somebody has a problem with a mod, approach him in PMs, or present your complaint to the admin. Do not try to undermine his authority by public attacks and stabs from behind. Keep on the good work, Xabba, and thanks for your efforts! ![]()
