well actually i found an easier way to do it.

Find out how long your torpedo will take to reach the set distance.

Then lock on the ship with uzo/periscope and mark its bearing down.

After marking the first bearing time for ship for the ammount of time it would take the torpedo to reach the target area.

After the time is up mark down the new bearing of the ship.

Add or subtract from the original bearing with the new one and then that number should be used to determine at what bearing you should fire exactly.

Why not do all the homework, put the information into the TDC, and let it do the math?
Then all you have to do is set your periscore or UZO to where the angle reads 000.
When the part of the ship you want for the center of your attack crosses the centerline, Fire.
800 meters is the optimum shot, so even if you made some slight errors (I think we all do) you should still score fantasticaly. You seem to have a very good routine.
Keep up the good work U-_ _.

Didn't the real crews make use of the TDC? That was it's purpose, no?

Oh yeah; don't forget to remind your crew to use lots of vaseline on their eels before inserting them into the tube.
