Etr3(SS) :

Yes, I've seen that, but it's only for those members that have files uploaded here. What we need I think is a LINK database. It can be a link to FF, or any other site as far as it's a WORKING link. That's what I was meaning.

Yeah I got that after reading your reply to Steve. I suppose if everyone involved in modding here just uploaded their mods here that would make things much simpler.

Yes of course that would be easier if we could all upload our files in ONE place, were we could be sure it's not deleted or else, the next day, but that's not possible.
But instead, a sticky is easy, ( or a part of the D/L section ) with a roster of all captains ( having files somewhere ) and a LINK working order. That's all.

Well there are over 100.000 mods for SH3 and I agree with Steve:

Quote:
Myself, I like having them organized by what they do, rather than who made them.
Correct Steve and put them in folders that have a name, e.g.:

Damage - Texture MODs
GUI Simfeeling BigDials MODs
Seafloor MODs

etc. etc.

Also it would be good to have specific folders for supermods:

GWX MODs
NYGM MODs
LSH3 MODs
WAC MODs

And/or specify a specific mod if it is compatible with one of the above supermods.

I,m not sure I get understood here.

What I meant was to make a sticky or a section of the D/L here like a Captain's roster that would provide LINKS ( and just that ) to as where to connect to access each members uploaded files. NOT a roster where you could directly download a file, I know there are to many files ). No long list of files needed, just a list of members with 1 or more links or addresses to be able to reach the site where to D/L. I mean clickable links, not just the name Subsim or Filefront or else, a link giving access to a page where you can chose among different files the person has downloaded, not a links to D/L the file directly...

For example :
================================================== =========

MEMBERS NAMES LINKS ( Adresses )

================================================== =======

JMV 1 ) Link xxxxxx
2 ) Link yyyyyy
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Truckmuche 1 ) Link yyyyyy
2 ) Subsim D/L
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Burp 1 ) Filefront
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

ETC...
