TMO RSRD...Things get stranger and stranger. The carrier took off at two knots. I finally escaped the dd's and surfaced. Before it was over damage is 64%.

I think I recall it happening once and may be normal if your scope and TDC is damaged. It doesn't lock on the target right, sorta sideways or like it locks on towards the back of the ship.

I finally did a long end around and took a long range shot at the carrier and hit it with 2 M14's at the bow. It finally stopped, but next was wierd.
It started having loud wierd explosions that you couldn't see. I looked underwater and took the cam inside and you could see internal explosions that looked like depth charges. I stayed back due to damage as I had only M18's left.

It was about 10PM and it was sunk about halfway, about to the bridge but wouldn't give me a sinking. Used TC some, but until 4AM gamewise it just had one internal explosion after the other. Finally it sank. Hadn't seen one sink halfway then take almost 7 hours to sink
and when it blew it was bigger than any explosion I've seen, like 2 times the Yamato.

I'm going to escape and see if my crew and controls come back. Overall, realistic and loads of fun, just don't know what the heck is going on.
Never had so many in my crews moral go like that.

I'll post some ss's later

Glad you're not my skipper, I'd have shat enough to sink the boat, specially when you went back for more!

How did you get away in the end, and did you go through the whole 10 hrs depth charging without TC?

I didn't go through 10 hours, guess confusing, but the crew's game time, but I bet I had 3 hours in the total attack. I have contact's on this patrol, but with them off and cams off I have spent more than 10 hours in an attack. When you're just stuck in your sub, you can't use much TC.

We escaped and made it home. Sunk one more merchant with the DG. With everything damaged, not gonna risk another attack with sterns gone also.

When I docked and started the next patrol everything worked fine. Silent running not working was a first for me. I have had a few say they've seen it when alt/tab out a lot, which I do. So not sure if it was a bug or damage and a crew gone to the crapper.

I lost a saved game that way. I was in a area that I had saved as silent get in the game and go to reset it nothing after 15 tries I gave up. I was to shallow to sneak out.
