The fact is aliens landed in roswell but they discovered that we are barbarians after we shot their recon ship down, they are now sending a force of Battleships to destroy us, the government knows about it but as there is nothing they can do they are currently keeping the information secret to protect civility, the alien force doesn't have FTL drives though so they should be here in about 200 years.

Forget about them, what about the Soviets? Surely, they would have raised hue and cry if they had not detected Saturn V zipping off on an intercept course with the moon. Perhaps they were part of the conspiracy?

But the conspiracy buffs have an answer: while the 'spacemen' were filming in a secret place an unmanned ship did indeed make the trip, so they could relay pictures and radio reports back from there. See, the outbound transmissions couldn't be picked up by anybody here on Earth, so they got away with it. Clever, huh?

Of course, as pointed out, not one person of the hundreds, or even thousands, required to be in on this thing has ever talked. That's the part that's hard to swallow.

How many people were involved in flying the Blackbird? For how long? How many talked? We don't know what we don't know, only what the media wants us to know.

Nowadays, with the Internet, the media has to be more careful about what they tell us because we can research the truth. A perfect example, the tooth fairy does exist. Here's the website http://www.toothfairyland.com/ I knew it all along and nobody believed me. Now there's proof, so neer neer neer....toldya so.

Quite a few, and the model makers and aviation buffs knew about it pretty early in the game. And we knew about it because it only takes one to spill the beans.

I've heard some of the Apollo conspiracy theorists claim that the US bought the silence of the food-impoverished USSR with wheat. I've also heard them say there is collusion among the space faring nations to keep silent about each sides blunders in space, so the USSR wouldn't blow the whistle on Apollo and in return the US wouldn't blow the whistle on the fact that Mir never existed, or something like ridiculous like that. Not a shred of proof in this post-Cold War world to that effect, but it doesn't matter.

Like others have said, the people who choose to believe that the Apollo missions were faked - because they desperately need to believe that for whatever reason - will not be convinced by any facts presented to them, no matter how compelling. However, there are a lot of people "on the edge" who can be convinced by decisive proof, and this new lunar probe will indeed help clarify this issue for many people.
