It certainly doesn't appear to me that saving multiple times or overwriting the same save is the panacea here.
What I do firmly believe though is that keeping the 'Player' default line in the save folder lessens your chances of what you are experiencing by a considerable amount. Furthermore, I'm confident all would agree that saving whilst submerged, near rendered objects etc. etc. is a surefire way of raising game crash possibilities. The SH3 game engine is a picky beast on the best of days, people who have experience of multiplay will readily attest to that. Thus far the only 100% game save solution fix centres around the missing saves issue. |

Well saving multiple times over the same save works fine for me, what it didn't work was having several save files for one patrol. I've never saved submerged or close to other ships so I have no idea what cause the problem. I've also left my "Player" career as instructed in GWX manual. Anyway, as I said, I've solved the problem so everything is ok now.
I wanna thank all of you who have responded to my problem. Thank you guys!

Overwriting previous saves seems pretty risky to me. I did that a couple of times & always ran into trouble (ctd's).
