I've never heard of this being a tactic, considering it being very dangerous and the chance of damage to the scopes is almost 100% no to mention the rest of the sub...
I don't use it...it has happened but I never do it on purpose

With the RFB mod your sub will be trashed if you try that and you will be trying to limp home if at all.
