Yes it is. Not 100% accurate, but closer. In the real compass -which Oakgroove masterfully recreated in his bordinstrumente- the interior dial was divided in 100 parts, with the succesive tenths highlighted, not in 360º. The reason, which you probably know as ex-sailor if you have steered the ship, is that change course orders are often issued as "A quarter to starbord" or whatever word the US Navy uses for a certain division of the compass (In the spanish one they divide the compass in 32 sets of 11,25º and call each of them a "cuarta" or quarter).

But since the slide out compass main use for us is setting exact course changes and helping us mentally ubicate the relative position of the enemy, I preferred to leave the interior with the 360º division.

That said, now I might consider doing a real full replica of the authentic compass
