Factual mistake in Squadron/Signal publication?

Here is a quote from Squadron/Signal book by Timothy J. Kutta: U-boat War (page 57):
"U-2511, a Type XXI commanded by KK Adalbert Schnee, scored well during the patrol sinking ten merchant ships totaling 45,000 tons."

I was under the assumption that U-2511 undertook only one patrol on April 30th 1945, from Bergen and 4 hours after receiving the cease-fire order on May 4th he made contact with British cruiser HMS Norfolk, Schnee executed "mock" attack during which he "sunk" the cruiser and left the encounter undetected.

The Squadron/Signal is respectable publisher of the books and it seems to that they should be able to avoid making big mistakes like this one...
Can somebody shed some light on this?
