Default We the People

I'm sure many of you noticed the sticky thread for raymond6751's book, "We The People".

I originally intended this to be a full review, but after 3 tries I can't seem to write one that is more effective than his blurb without giving away spoilers. I guess I'm as bad at book reports now as I was in high school. If only I had payed more attention to literary criticism !

All I can say is that it is a good book, exceptionally well-written, especially considering that it's author is a new writer. Intelligently written without venturing into the domain of prose. The plot falls into the realms of science-fiction and mystery-thrillers, which I do not typically read, but I have read "We The People" twice now and I am ordering book today because I think I will read it again.

For those of you that missed the sticky, proceeds go to the Canadian Cancer Society. raymond6751 also encourages you to give to your local cancer research and/or relief socities if you like the book.

He has also, personally told me that the downloadable version I originally bought may be distributed as long as it is not for profit. I am willing to send my electronic copy of the book to anyone who would like to read it, for free. If you enjoy it, consider a donation to any cancer research/relief group.

In summation; We have a rare opportunity here to support an excellent, albeit budding author and also contribute to the relief and eventual destruction of a devestating disease.

Many of you know me as the guy who would typically be opposed to federal funding of cancer research, or any other research for that matter. In case you haven't guessed or been hit over the head repeatedly with the idea by me I am a Libertarian. But I can still, of my own volition, vehemently support a cause like this.
As a community, we have the ability to do a little bit extra for society here. Raymond is a person who deserves our support. Who writes a book that simultaneously entertains people and asks them for help in defeating cancer? Not me! Every time I have entertained the thought of writing something it has been for personal gain, not for selfless dedication to a good cause.

Again I emphasize that I will send you the book via e-mail for free. Simply PM me or write me at lcplmaryott605@yahoo.com , even if you don't like the genre or somehow dislike the writing style, you can send it to friends who may be more inclined toward this type of literature than you are.

Furthermore, I will donate an additional $30 to subsim if this post is stickied for at least 10 days and also donate $30 to some local cancer charity that I haven't looked up yet. Actually, if this isn't stickied I will donate both amounts anyways, eventually, but not with as much urgency!

Please, support cancer research and support a talented, selfless author by buying his book or getting it from me for free ( I am sure 70% of you will buy the physical copy of it once you read it).

Best regards to all,

-The Lance
