I pointed out then that there have have been two female F1 drivers, but so long ago that you young'uns don't remember: Maria-Theresa de Filipis in the '50s and Lella Lombardi in the '70s. Also back in the 1920s the pre-F1 Grand Prix had Elisabeth Junek, one of the best drivers of the era, female or male.

As to whether there will be another soon, I'd say probably. as to whether she does better than her predecessors, it's like asking if there will be another American World Champion soon: I'd like to see it, but I'm not holding my breath.
