Default Is this normal for SH4 + Trigger Maru + Run Silent Run deep?

I am about doing my 8th Patrol. I started on a Pearl Harbour boat by Dec 41.
I use full realism settings except external view (I cannot resist enjoying the breathtaking views with ROW although I do not use it for cheating, actually it is not needed) so lets say 90% realism
I was expecting inmersion and realism but I am finding the following issues.
I already got about 4 Medal of Honor. I feel flattered but I think this is totally unrealistic I forgot to mention several Silver Star and a Purple Heart.

My AA guns are like a radar controlled Vulcan 20 mm. No enemy plane pose a threat. They are simply destroyed before they can attack. Kind of unrealistic.

Despite the game historical briefings about decisive battles, I am always being assigned to the same patrol spots some of them not very historically accurate like some patrols on the Tokio Bay or well inside the Yellow Sea in early 1942.

I almost suffered no duds lets say 1 every 10 torps was a dud. I am sure Admiral Lockwood would have been very pleased with this outcome.

The game is starting to be boring and from what I am reading on this forums it is supposed to be interesing and realistic.
It all I mentioned normal or usual?
Any clue why is this happening?
