It's the wooden deck mate. I scraped back through the paint and down to the wood in the areas of highest wear.
For the rust patches (which i kept to a minimum) i used Mig pigments mixed to a thin wash with turps. I'll tinker about with it as the rest of the boat comes together but for know i'm a happy Savvy
