HELP! MY TDC, maps have gone haywire!
I've had to stop the game. As I approach a target, I lock it in my TDC. Soon everything goes screwy. Attacking a large sampan, I was closing perpendicular with the target at 10 degrees starboard and closing to 0 degrees, when suddenly I noticed that the range to target on the TDC was increasing. I checked the map, both strategic and attack, and found that it displayed my sub as going east instead of west (as my compass showed). I let loose a bow torpedo at 900 yards and went to the attack map and saw the torpedo emerge from the bow and make a sharp 180 turn to and pass my stern behind me. But the target was now 0 degrees ahead of me and fully visible as such from the bridge, even without the TDC.
Thoroughly befuddled, I ordered a hard starboard rudder until I had the target at 180 degrees on the TDC. Now the range started decreasing though I was moving flank forward. The maps showed me heading west instead of east. Everything is back to front. [Offensive acronym removed by OBarbas] is going on? The game has become unplayable. (P.S. I am upgraded to v. 4.1.2 ![]() ![]() Last edited by OBarbas; 02-22-08 at 09:02 PM. |
