Default Kaptain Hans Wolf..U-45..Patrol 7+

Hi again folks. well instead of posting thread after thread of my patrols, im just going to run this one untill the end of the war, or if the destroyers end it for me.:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

anyway, i will post all of my reports here, and try to get some screenshots up as well.

Patrol 7.
we left port and headed for our patrol square on the coast of norway. we patroled there, and never picked up a single contact. we headed for our favorite hunting zone, along the west coast of britan. our first contact was a small coastal merchant, which took only a single torpedo to sink.

our second contact was another coastal merchant, we fired 1 torpedo, which missed, then sunk her with a second torpedo.

our largest ship was the c3 cargo, which we sunk with a shot from our aft tube, and 2 from our bow tubes.

our next ship sunk was a small merchant vessel, bad weather made getting tdc information a nightmare. it took 3 torpedos to sink her, with the first two missing.

with 3 torpedo's left in the bow tubes, and two in the aft of the sub, we continued our course along the western coast of britan.

we encountered a large convoy, at least 4 collums wide, but the weather was still playing up. we launched two torpedos at a tanker, 1 at a c2 cargo, and a torpedo from our stern tube at a coastal merchant. the damm destroyers must have picked us up, because the whole convoy started to take evasive mavouvers, with all of my torpedos missing, exept for one which struck a t2 tanker, but did not sink her. we dived deep, to about 150 metres and loaded our rear tube with our last torpedo. the destroyers still hadent caught on to us, so we came back up to periscope depth to try and knock out the tanker that we had already struck.

as soon as we came to a depth of 10 metres, the destroyers came charging for us, there where at least 3 of them. we launched our rear torpedo at one of the destroyers, but he must have seen the trail of bubbles as they knuckled left and the torpedo missed.

we then dived again, and played cat and mouse with the destroyers. they stuck to us like glue, with two of them depth charging us while the other listened to our movements. we took hull damage and started to sink. luckily we were in shallow water, as we came to rest at the bottom of the ocean at around 170 metres. the pressure was gut wrenching, but we managed to hold. we were flodding fast, but we managed to patch her up, with the destroyers still pinging us and dropping depth charges very close to our position. the destroyers must have thought we were dead, as they returned to escort the convoy.

we sat on the bottom and repaired our eletric engines. with our oxygen levels fading, we had to surface. we blew our ballast, and started our engines. we slowly but surely made it to the surface. with no torpedo's left, we limped back to port.

we arrived home with 13, 564 tons to our name. the allies seemed to be getting a little smarter, we have to start being more carefull on the open sea's.

keep an eye out for my report for patrol 8, which will be posted in this thread.

fare well!
