Default The one that DIDN"T get away!

OK. Here I am traveling to BE61 to do my tour. I round England and get a convoy contact 50K north of Ireland. It id the first tour in my canpaign, Sept 6, 1939. I do the standard approach and get about 2K from the lead of the convoy and I notice there are NOescorts!! I torp 4 ships and then say "What the hell. The fox is in the hen house and the farmer has gone to town!"

I the surface and start shooting at everything in site. It was a running battle and when I was done 12 ships from Her Magesty's fleet are on the bottom. 58,000 tons!

That isnt the best part. I start heading back to the starting point, and I run across a freighter that is only half sunk... I mean literally! Bow up[ out of the water and stern completly submerged. I look at the map and there is no wreck icon. No torps, no cannon shells I even used all th AA ammo to finish off a Tramp Steamer. I slide up to the stricken ship and sit and think..... What if I nudged it? I start @ 2 knots and tap the ship.... nothing. I back off about 100m. Try it @ 5Kn. Damage to torp #2. Hmmmmm. So I manuver the sub over the sunken stern and submerge. An internal explosion tn the steamer cought me off guard and I hit Flank speed. I then go to the bridge and look over the rear rail and see the stubborn ship slip beneath the waves.

I'm just sorry I didn't get any screenies.
