Guess I'll just have to put up with the newer "better" technology to enjoy widescreen for my other entertainment.

Of course it looks fine with the CRT, you would have to make a photo of the LCD showing the color banding, since the screenshot is taking in the graphics card so to say, and that has nothing to do with how the image gets displayed on screen.

BTW: I also had the color banding on my CRT, but not as noticable as on my LCD
