Does anyone has been able to use the TWIN 40mm Flack Gun without any CDT's problems?
I can install it changing the information on the ..\Data\UPCData\UPCUnitsData\UpgradePacks.Upc file, which has the following text: //Quote [UpgradePack 11] ID= Upack40mmTwin NameDisplayable= Twin 40mm AA Gun FunctionalType= UpFTypeWeaponFlak UpgradePackSlotType= USDeckGun Type=NULL UnitUpgradePackIntervalOptionCurrent= NULL, NULL, 0 UnitUpgradePackIntervalOptions1= 1942-05-08, NULL, 1000 IDLinkUpgradePackElements= 40mmTwinUS //END QUOTE With this text the weapon would never show up on the upgrade option list mainly because of the functional type is a flack weapon (FunctionalType= UpFTypeWeaponFlak) but the upgrade slot type is a deck gun option (UpgradePackSlotType= USDeckGun). If I change the text to read: [UpgradePack 11] ID= Upack40mmTwin NameDisplayable= Twin 40mm AA Gun FunctionalType= UpFTypeWeaponFlak UpgradePackSlotType= USHeavyAA Type=NULL UnitUpgradePackIntervalOptionCurrent= NULL, NULL, 0 UnitUpgradePackIntervalOptions1= NULL, NULL, 1000 IDLinkUpgradePackElements= 40mmTwinUS The weapon will be available since the beggining and I can install it on a Gato sub with the late or elite conning tower, it will show up on the sub, I can allocate the crew members for the fore and stern slots (in the game only show one crew member managing the gun), and I can play without any problem until I find an aircraft. When that happens and I order the crew to manage the flak gun and shoot down the plane the game allways crash (CDT). Does anyone knows how to solve this problem and use the gun on the sub ???? |
