Need Help considering .zon and .sim Files!

Hi there!

I recently stumbled uppon SH3 Inspector, and I must say it is a good program.
So here is my problem or better said question.
I wanted to modify the german submarines, so that they match all the specifications given at uboat.net (so said realistic specifications)!
Well with SH3 Inspector it isn´t a great deal to alter displacement, speed, horsepower etc. Very cool I thought! But as I started the game and tested the VII B Sub I recognized that the speed isn´t as I specified it!!! The sea is calm and the top speed of the VII B should be 17,9 kn but it is like 1 kn slower. Why is that? I also changed the values in the .cfg file.
So there must be more to the mass, horsepower, speed and displacement than I thought.
Any comments, suggestions or help would be very welcome.
