Vanity..When seconds count

I had a couple of young fellas ring my door selling ADT Security services. The front man went into his spiel and I allowed that for a couple of moments before asking him one question. "If I have you correctly, when seconds count you folks will call the police within minutes". I asked the question three times before the fellow behind him recieved the messege. His answer was dishonest, he said yes, ADT could protect me when seconds count.

The front man shot me a dirty look. I thanked them for stopping by and they began to discuss it between themselves. Perhaps they were speaking of the spiel or maybe they are beginning to see what self defense really means.
