Default Meet the press! Meet yourself!

An absurd story. A laughable story. A story that illustrates to what amount of ritualized behavior and forseeable habits our societies in general and our media in special have already degenerated to.

In germany, a new radio- and TV law is in the makoing, or better, the old system to fiannce it gets revamped. The main benefit is - for political parties. They will gain far more influence over the two main channels. They have voiced dissatisfaction that even a dedicated TV channel, Phoenix, no longer shows much life broadcasting from palimanetyr debates, becaseu people were sich and tired to listen to that show. Now party-propaganda must be stuffed into our throats with force, it seems.

But the FEMA stunt tops everything. their excuse that they gave such a short ntioice that no reporters could manage to arrive in time, is just this: an excuse, but no reason. The proper thing to do would have been to plan for more reaction time, or to call it off. Not to blind the public by having a theatre play.
