SH2 Graphics Problem :(

Hello all.
Had Silent Hunter2 running on my XP pro machine quite happily. However I've since upgraded from a really old graphics card to a ATI Sapphire Radeon 9550. Now every time I run the game I get on screen flickering. The time and game speed for instance are almost impossible to read

. I have the latest drivers and am running SH2 v1.1 with the Hi res mod. Anybody got any ideas what I can do?
