Yeah completely removed everything.
I used JSGME to install the open hatch mod, the 16km vis mod and a couple of others. removed them all through JSGME to see which one was the problem. when i put the 16km vis mod back on it did it again. I repeated the process, but THIS time when i got the 16km vis mod put on everything worked fine. very wierd. its working great now.
