I was patroling west of Luzon when I come across a task-force consisting of 3 CVs, 4 CVEs, 2 CAs, 4 CLs, 4 Chitose sea-plane tenders, 4 modern tankers, hordes of DDs. I closed in on the lead ship, Shokaku class CV and put 4 fish into her (sorry Cavalla

, don't mess with the sugar boats) Scratch one flat-top. I went deep to reload...

Meanwhile, the TF SLOWED to 3 knots...

...Torpedoes reloaded, back to periscope depth.

I had no trouble lining up on the second ship, CV #2, as she was only going three knots. Four fish later and a gigantic explosion (fuel?) scratch 2 flat-tops.

...and the escorts??? did absolutely nothing!

By 5 am, I'm reloaded and back in firing position. This time, CA, Maya... scratch one CA.

Number of depth charges dropped during encounter....Zero

Three ships, 65850 tons, and one Medal of Honor.
