AA gunner won't fire

My anti Aircraft gunner won't fire his weapon.

I have a skilled PO assigned to the AA guns
I have selected the "man the aa gun" button and the AA gun area of the crew management screen is grey (active
I have selected either fire at will or fire at closing targets (tried them both)

and no shootin

And since the last patch did not fix the graphic blocking of the AA position, I can't even make the AA gun myself

What am I missin? <img>

Do I need to call the entire crew to battle stations???
