Mission Editor Questions

Ok, this time I have two questions.

1. The first one has to do with aircraft. I'm currently working on a new mission and want to add some patrolling aircraft over the convoy that is part of the mission. How do you do that?

2. The second has to do with the equipment on the submarine I put in the mission. The date of the mission is April, 1944. The radar on the submarine is not functioning. How can I correct this problem?

The mission I'm creating is called "Formosa Straits". I hope to have it done in another day or two, hopefully after I get some help with my questions.
