Does JSGME simply copy the files to the right folders?

Reason I ask is, I finally have everything loaded just the way I like it (Thanks to all the great work done by moders

) and I'd like to just zip the MOD folder for safe keeping.

should I put every thing back and than zip it?
or is it safe to just zip it as is. I looked at most of the files and everything looks in place, just want to confirm there wont be any conflicts should I ever have to reinstall
