Problems resuming saved career

Anyone seen this? Whenever I resume my career, no matter where my telegraph was set when I saved, 1st thing I hear upon loading the game is "All Stop!" and yep, the telegraph is at "All Stop".

Also, resuming my last course is chancy at best. One time, after setting telegraph back to "Ahead Full" and going to 1024x speed, I found myself immediately going in clockwise circles rather than resuming course. Another time, I did resume the saved course, but when I reached the next waypoint I blasted right past it as if it wasn't there.

So anyway, every time I load a saved game I have to reset my speed and click on "resume course" for it to work as it should. Just a little annoying

Anybody else seen this behavior or know any way to fix it? I'm running the 1.01 patch.
