Default Is there a solution for the heavy fog?

Hello!As my nickname would imply,my sub ended up fish food and in my first patrol out of the pen...Actually it was quite a good patrol.I am using GWX with some mods.I had sunk about 18000 tons of shipping,with 2 torpedoes left.I was patrolling off the coast of Ireland hoping for a last easy target.Then something happened and i found myself out of time compression,taking damage and a DD shelling me.Result : Before i could understand what was happening,i was depth charged at 100 m.I fixed all flooding but then i noticed the sub wouldn't sabilize to a depth nor surface.I crushed at about 125 m.The screen said cause of death "colliding".

Apparently my watch crew didn't see the DD rolling over my sub during time compression.My only consolation is that they 're all dead now too.

Is there ANY way to avoid similar incidents when in time compression?Is there a mod or something that can fix the "blindness" of the watch crew?Ok,there is fog,i don't expect them to spot a DD from far away,but i would expect them to see it when it's about to roll over us!
