In SH3 one of my few BIG problems (actually, the only one besides the missing wolfpacks) with the game was the way time compression was implemented. When I cruised along at high compression rates and met opposition in form of an enemy DD or aircraft I would often suffer damage before I could react, the plane (or DD) literally spawning on top of my ship after getting out of time compression. I don't know how many times I had to reload after sailing at high TC, suddenly getting an aircraft alarm, the game switching to 1x time, then get bombed within 3 seconds, sinking or recieving heavy damage.
Since SH 4 involves even greater distances to travel and thus will require even higher TC I really hope that this problem has been fixed. Can anyone who already got a copy of SH4 report on this issue? |
