I keep reading on this site ,mixed reviews, that the US subs during ww2 really didn't do much, I know the german U-boats had a bigger roll than the US subs really did, but I read somewhere on the internet mission by mission from GATO class subs, and it seems like they did allot. So whats the story behind all of this?
