It would be different if you could go to the torpedo room e.g. and talk to the people. You would get 3 or 4 sentences to chose from which would influence the conversation and the morale etc. If they could do that a dream would come true.

try to think of it as the same kind of thing as the free roaming camera and the ship Museum. Places where the captain would surely rarely go
