That annoying pop up sign

Is there any way to get rid of that sign that pops up when your guys spot an enemy contact (The one that says "Dive to periscope depth" "Continue with orders"..etc...) ?

For realism sake, I would rather just hear the warning and react myself. I almost didn't notice the sign there because I was in a darkened area of the boat and the sign is transparent and I got hull damage and almost lost my boat while I was clicking around and nothing was responding.
