Using Short Wave In The Name Of Realism...

I was wondering, for the sake of realism, if anyone else does status reports? Not just after you sink something but everyday. I try to make a position report to BdU everyday at 2100 German Time just for the sake of realism.

Now it hasnt been confirmed one way or the other if using short wave gives away your position in the game but I find it fun. My message room fills up fast though!

Does anyone know the "real" proceedure that u-boats used? Was it, indeed, a daily position report or was it longer in between?:hmm:
