Bad Day At The Office

as the title suggests it wasnt a good day at sea.
i was assigned to AM24 in my VIIB so the shortest route was through the shetlands and orkney islands. on the way there we didnt see much only 2 C2`s and a coastal merchant heading towards scapa, needless to say they didnt make it
as i past scapa i picked up on a few DD`s patroling i got past them no trouble and fended off an air attack too. having seen the DDs i thought there must be something in scapa flow due to the activity, since my grid wasnt too far away from scapa i made the decision to patrol my grid and if uneventful i would try an attack there.
my grid did proove to be empty so i made my way to scapa. there were 3 DD`s and and a tug patroling the west entrance i dived to 15m and 2knts silent running however a hunt 1 crossed my bow at 500m one fish fired and she went down stern first surprisngly this didnt raise the alarm.
no further probs in getting in after this. as i got further in i picked up numerous contacts.....2 stationary DD`S an aux cruiser and the revenge class (happy days)
as i got to within 3000m of the revenge i was picked up by 2 hunt 1 they were pinging like mad they made 3 dc runs and missed as they prepared for another run i came to PD depth and fired all i had at the revenge. 3 hits but no cigar i tried to make a sneaky exit but by now i had 5 DD`s on me god knows where they came from and each took its turn to have a pop. i suffered slight damage minor flooding and hull down to 97%
after this they seemed to have lost me but i had to repair flooding so i came off silent running so i could repair or i would have sunk. but doing this only gave away my postion and they all swarmed me again the noise from the pinging from 5 DD`s was horrendous needless to say after a few DC runs i was killed
