Usually, we're all excited when we see the grayed-out box on the screen from the watch officer that shouts "ship sighted, sir" and it's an Allied unit.

Then, there are the message box advisories "ship spotted, sir" and we take that to mean a Neut, which usually, they are.

Not always.

I checked one of those message box advisories just out of boredom....a British 12,300 ton Large Merchant!
