No medals or qualification for crew problem

Just finished a patrol N.Y.G.M 2.2 using shIII Comander weather generator and shIII generator 31,000 tons.

I was awarded the Iron Cross 2nd class and promoted:p but my poor crew got nothing and no qualifaication to give to the crew eather.

Has anyone else had this problem. and if so how can i correct this i know i could use shcommander but would like to know what would be causing this.
