Hi Fish

I like your idea best. I have system restore on my rig. I can't
see downloading some product I never heard of to do a fix
when I have tools to fix problem and not risk an even worse
mess. There's alot of fixes out there but,to each his own way.

Awhile back I had a simular problem as this thread is addressing
and didn't know I could set a restore point. The said was very
annoying .Everytime Itryed to go online it blocked me and wanted
me to run there FREE program to see if I liked it and buy it.
To me that was extortion and wouldn't do it and did a full DOD
wipe. And didn't make any backup copies as I was afraid they
might be effected. Now I have copies of all my very important good
stuff " mods, missions, and all other important SubSim stuff " cant
be loseing any of this can I ? So my suggestion in omho is regularly
set a restore point like when you defrag and do other housekeeping.

Wheew!!! I'm tired. I'd like to hear other suggestions. I know there's
alot of others smarter then me that have ideas and opions on how
to address this . So I pass control of the floor to the next speaker
Good luck all & Good Hunting
