Gentlemen, your attention for a moment?
I have noticed that when playing stock SH3 that the POV when on board your sub is fixed i.e. your line of sight remains exactly parallel with the deck. I've noticed that if you move the mouse forwards and backwards in opposition with the roll and pitch of he boat, you get a much more realistic, sea-sickness inducing, POV. Thus, if the POV was made fixed, parallel with the seabed and not the deck, the boat would pitch and roll independantly around you, giving a much more realistic effect. This also applies to the internal perspective and corrects the problem of the boat's tilt during dives not looking right. Now, I'm hoping the boys at GWX have sussed this out themselves (I've read reports of Beta-Captains complaining of sea-sickness), and have corrected it. Here's hoping. |
