As many of you know CAOD will crash if you have a Gig of ram on XP.The program can't read that much memory and drops out when you load a mission. Here is a gem that will allow you to run CAOD [and Longbow 2 ] on such systems. Go to http://www.speichts.com/games/lb2/ram.html and download the memory allocation tool at the bottom of the page. It lets you ajust your system memory through a simple interface. After you tweak the slider you click the box to allocate the ajusted setting to your memory I keep mine around 395 for Caod. You keep it running while you play the game and I havn't noticed any problems using it. Be sure to run Caod in Windows 95 compatability mode with 256 colors checked. Good Hunting!
