Little help identifiyng a jacket style

Has the thread title says, I need help identifying a jacket, how is it called/what is the name that it is referred.

I recently saw Broken Arrow,1950 film with James Stewart. In a few scenes he's dressed a jacket, that I want to know so i can see if i get a similar one.

I tried a quick search in google and stumble upon "rancher jacket". Is it a correct name for it?

It's simple a "cowboy" jacket? Or a simple denim jacket?
