aircraft warning problems

hey guys, my first post here. just got the game. spent a few days learning trig lol and now here i am. i have a big problem. im on a mission right now in my career and these darn aircraft keep bugging me. i wouldnt mind it but ....

when im running time compression. i can friken hear them myself before my men even say anything. then by the time i panic and turn compression down to 1 its right on top of me. bombing me. then after it passes my guys are like aircraft spotted short range. this same thing happens with radar and time compression. it seems that if i have it sped up i simply dont get a warning about aircraft and if i do its soo close it doesnt even matter. what i wanna know is how can i get the warning earlier. is there anything i can do? i know in some other threads ive read people say dont play with such high TC. well what do you do though when you are out in the middle of nowhere. gottta play sped up. i normally play at about 512 TC. sometimes less sometimes more. regardless seems like i never get a proper aircraft warning. at least nothing that isntantly sets the TC to 1 so i can react. any suggestions?

ps- oh i almost forgot. ill dive to like 70ft and travel as far as i can then surface again and bingo airplane will come within a short time. and i even turn my radar off too to see if that works. but it doesnt
